Teaka Story
The Teaka journey started in 2019 in Melbourne Australia. It began with a love of tea and a passion for spirits. It's maker, a lover of quality tea and a keen gin enthusiast, started experimenting with tea flavoured alcoholic beverages.
At first he started making tea infusions. Fun fruity flavours that livened up many a party. Quickly though the hobby moved to making more sophisticated beverages. Eighteen months of research, loads of experimenting, (many mistakes!), customer sampling and feedback finally resulted in first batch of Teaka Tea Spirit in late 2020.
The Teaka® spirit company was founded in March 2020 by Craig and Kaz Westcott at the height of the global Coronavirus pandemic. With time available for its founders to road test recipes, put product foundations in place and to launch the business. With the addition of our friend and marketing guru Gareth Boyle we have moved to create and build a natural Aussie brand and to have loads of fun in the process!
Teaka is a craft producer whose purpose is to produce a world-first refreshing alcoholic tea aperitif. A light spirit, low sugar, low carbohydrates! Designed specifically for those who seek clean living, yet still enjoy having a drink to relax. Those who choose to balance health with small indulgences.
Since launching the brand, results speak for themselves. Our customers love the natural refreshing Teaka taste. And our products are winning international spirits awards. Everybody has a favourite Teaka, just as everybody has a favourite tea!

Story of Passion
To start with, we love tea – any tea – English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rooibos… And we love the full body experience it offers – the scent, the taste, the warmth it brings. How clean it is and the fresh feeling we get after drinking a cup of tea.
At the same time we also enjoy a glass of wine or a quiet spirit at the end of a long day, to kick back with. We don't need to drink a lot, but we do like to relax with a drink. It makes us feel good.
So why can’t we have both? A drink that brings both of these pleasures together at the same time. Why not a refreshing drink to relax with, that makes you feel good, that is also clean and fresh?
We have a simple vision. Teaka is about natural, clean tastes. It's about the way we feel. Light, subtle, refreshing. The drink you want to relax with after a long day, or to cool down with on a summer's eve. A way of life.
